ABOUT ME
Dr. Christopher A. Hartwell has 20+ years’ senior-level experience in macroeconomic research and applied economic analysis, private sector development, and strategic planning, having worked with both the public and private sector. Currently Associate Professor at Bournemouth University (and former President of CASE - Center for Social and Economic Research in Poland), he has spent his career working in international finance and macroeconomics, focused on financial sector and institutional development. This has supplemented his research into the effects of financial liberalization on crises and the linkages between institutional volatility and financial volatility.
Dr. Hartwell also has years of experience as an international development professional, having worked in Afghanistan, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia, China, Croatia, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Solomon Islands, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tonga, Uzbekistan, and Vanuatu, amongst other countries.
